Sequel series (lasting three seasons) to WHAT’S HAPPENING picks up the characters six years later... Raj is a writer and co-owner of the hangout restaurant Rob’s Place with Shirley, Raj’s newlywed wife is a social worker, Dee is in college, Dwayne a computer programmer, and Rerun a used car salesman. Raj and his wife have moved into his childhood house.

One of the arcade video games in Rob’s Place is the 1984 Three Stooges “Brides Is Brides” game from Mylstar. The arcade is seen in numerous episodes.
