"In the criminal justice system, the people are represented by two separate yet equally important groups: the police, who investigate crime; and the district attorneys, who prosecute the offenders. These are their stories."
After gunfire in a restaurant lavatory kills one man and critically wounds another, three men flee the scene before they're next. The detectives' investigation reveals that the wounded man, a psychological forensics expert, was the actual target. His expert testimony in an earlier murder trial may be the link to the shooter's motive. While searching for the three men who fled the shooting, Briscoe and Curtis question one of the men's dinner dates...
Briscoe: So how'd you hook up with the Three Stooges?
