It's 1959, and on summer vacation at the California beach, Danny Zuko and Austrailian Sandy Olsen fall in love. Sandy starts the new school year as an exchange student at Rydell High, and is surprised to see that this is Danny's school. Zuko is leader of the leather-jacketed T-Birds, while good girl Sandy has joined the Pink Ladies. In totally different social circles, can the two lovers reignite their passion, or are they destined to remain apart?
At the football pep rally, three of the T-Birds, Doody, Sonny, and Putzie clown around by imitating the Stooges' slapstick moves. Per actor Barry Pearl ('Doody'), he put the Stooge tribute together on the set; it was not a carryover bit from the stage version.
- Costars Michael Tucci (Sonny) and Barry Pearl (Doody) are also Stooges fans, and played Moe & Larry at the Stooges' 1983 Hollywood Walk of Fame ceremony; on a 1981 episode of the CBS drama JESSICA NOVAK, they played Moe & Larry impersonators.
- Costar Eddie Deezen (Eugene Felnic) is a huge Three Stooges fan, has posted blogs on them, and they're frequently a topic on his Facebook page
