JESSE STONE: STONE COLD

Air Date/Released Sunday, February 20, 2005
Station/Studio CBS / Brandman Productions

Jesse Stone is an alcoholic and ex-L.A. detective. Terminated for being drunk on the job, and recently divorced from his wife, Jesse relocates to the small town seaport of Paradise MA and becomes its Chief of Police. Stone quickly learns that Paradise is far from its namesake, holding many secrets including activities and crimes sometimes connected to a mobster in Boston.

The first in a series of CBS-TV movies, adapting the stories of novelist Robert B. Parker. Seemingly random shootings are the work of a serial killer... or killers. A wealthy husband & wife are actually sociopaths, whose random killings are done for the simple pleasure of the game. Jesse soon suspects them, but direct evidence and lack of motive block his investigation. The couple take an amused interest in Jesse, and adjust their targets with him in mind. Also, Jesse and Molly investigate a young girl’s gang rape by a group of high school bullies. After a press conference, the town’s Asst. Prosecutor informs Stone that the three town councilmen want a private conversation with him about the murder investigations...
Larry, Curly and Moe want to talk with you.
