Lipton Original Iced Tea - Kung Fu

Air Date/Released Sunday, January 30, 1994
Station/Studio Lipton commercial

Lipton parodied the television series KUNG FU and The Three Stooges for its bottled Lipton Original Iced Tea’s “This Ain’t No Sippin’ Tea” campaign. David Carradine appears as his KUNG FU character 'Caine' on a modern-day ghost town street, encountering three tattooed goons who want to take away his Lipton iced tea. Rather than take them down with kung fu, ‘Caine’ defeats his opponents with a series of Three Stooges moves, e.g., pokes, smacks and “see this.” We fade out to a flashback with ‘Master Po’ (Bill Saito) and his wise mantra of “Coitainly!”

The commercial aired during the 1994 Super Bowl.

Cast: David Carradine, Robert Z'Dar, Bill Saito
