RULES OF ENGAGEMENT - Rug-of-War

Air Date/Released Monday, October 4, 2010
Station/Studio CBS / Paramount / Sony

Two couples, one married and one engaged, and their single friend deal with their interpersonal relationships.

Audrey and Jeff disagree over buying a new rug for the apartment, with Audrey giving it away to friends Adam and Jennifer. Jeff conspires to get it back, by telling Adam that it frequently hosted he and his wife’s sexual escapades. Arguing over the rug, Jeff attempts to end the discussion by pretending to fall asleep, mimicking Shemp’s snoring sounds. Later, Audrey turns the tables with the same schtick, when Jeff suggests they “rechristen” the rug.
Megyn: Your fake cartoon snoring didn’t fool me.
Jeff: That’s not cartoon snoring... it’s classic Three Stooges.
