Faux documentary by Marty DiBergi (Rob Reiner) about the 1982 U.S. tour of Spinal Tap, the loudest rock band in England, promoting their first album in 15 years.

The band's history includes a procession of drummers due to sudden, bizarre deaths, i.e., choking on someone else's vomit, spontaneous combustion. As the U.S. tour ends and the band embarks on a Tokyo promotion, we meet their latest drummer replacement, Joe "Mama" Besser.
