Featuring Ted Healy and His Stooges
3 min. (Newsreel)
The Stooges appear briefly in this newsreel greeting Primo Carnera at the train station, also featuring Jack Dempsey "sparring" with boxers Max Baer and Carnera at an L.A. nightclub.
The discovery of this newsreel was reported in The Three Stooges Journal # 114 (Summer 2005).
Also found was some rare 16mm footage of the Stooges greeting Carnera at the train station; this outtake footage is presumed to originate from this newsreel promoting the MGM feature film THE PRIZEFIGHTER AND THE LADY (1933), starring Myrna Loy and Max Baer. Research continues for additional information on this previously undocumented appearance.
