Featuring Shemp Howard (Solo)
21.2 min. (Short Subject)
Fatty Arbuckle plays Wilbur Wart, who receives a letter from an old man who may very well be his Uncle Wart. The old man is sick, and looking for heirs to leave his fortune. While waiting at the depot, Wilbur gets into a fight with a stranger, who turns out to be cousin Harry Wart. Many years ago, a Wart once married a Mole, a family with a history of insanity. If either Wilbur or Harry display any trace of Mole behavior, he will be cut off. When the two cousins arrive at the old man's mansion, they begin angling to gain his favor and inherit the fortune, with Harry trying to frame Wilbur as a Mole. But there may be more (if not less) to Uncle than meets the eye.
Shemp has a non-speaking role as a looney cousin from the Mole side.
