Featuring Shemp Howard (Solo)
21.75 min. (Short Subject)
Slim's (Fatty Arbuckle) first day of work at Mr. Schultz's bakery coincides with Toots and his gang of racketeers paying a protection visit to Schultz. Turned down, Toots (Lionel Stander) and his henchman Bug (Shemp Howard) sneak into the kitchen and leave a bomb inside one of the cakes, but it's Toots' birthday and his moll Mazie winds up buying that same cake. After the cake explodes during the party, the gang heads for Schultz's and starts a wild dough and pie throwing melee with Slim.
Production wrapped on June 29. 'Fatty' Arbuckle died later that night.
