Home owner Joe is desperately trying to raise $2500 to stop the foreclosure of his mortgage. His wife's (Maxine Gates) aunt is wealthy, so the family packs for a train trip to visit her and borrow the money. Director Jules White dusts off his stock of train berth gags, with Daddy, Junior and the porter attempting to boost Mother into the upper berth. The following day, they learn that their bank was recently robbed, and there's a $5000 reward for the thief. The family meets Aunt Tildy on the train, and discover that bad investments have left her broke. But good fortune smiles when the bank robber also appears on the train.
