Character actress on several radio shows, particularly THE JACK BENNY PROGRAM, and 'Blanche Morton' on THE BURNS AND ALLEN SHOW. Female voice artist for Warner Brothers cartoons in the 1940s and early 1950s, she was the original voice of 'Granny.' Moved to TV with Burns & Allen, playing 'Blanche' until 1958, and made guest appearances on numerous other shows. The original voice of 'Betty Rubble' on THE FLINTSTONES (1960 - 1964). On THE BEVERLY HILLBILLES, she was 'Jethro's' mother, 'Pearl Bodine.' Starred as 'Kate Bradley' on PETTICOAT JUNCTION from 1964 - 1968, until she became ill with cancer and died early in its 6th season.
