1920s headlining vaudeville and at one time a Broadway partner of Jack Haley. A specialist in dialect humor, he became a prolific character actor for fifty years in film, radio and television. A longtime member of Jack Benny's radio and television show cast. Interred at Hillside Memorial Park, Culver City, CA.
