- Mary is not connected to or protected from Svengarlic's plans in FLAGPOLE JITTERS (1956)

- FOR CRIMIN' OUT LOUD had the "last, new Howard-Fine-Howard moment" in terms of release date, but by production dates, the new footage for FLAGPOLE JITTERS was filmed one day later... CRIMIN' on June 30, 1955 and FLAGPOLE on July 1, 1955
- Shemp died on November 22, 1955

Joe Palma was Shemp's stand-in for only 4 shorts, the four 1956 "fake Shemps." He had supporting roles in many Stooge comedies going back to 1940, some of them prominent like 'Butch' in BEER BARREL POLECATS (1946), the murderer in IF A BODY MEETS A BODY (1945) and one of the cavemen in I'M A MONKEY'S UNCLE (1948).
