The Three Stooges Videography
  • The Videography is sorted alphabetically, by distributor/studio.  
  • Videography does not include many bargain-label distributors who deal in public domain material. Those that are listed are more highly regarded, have the best available versions of PD material, or include programs of special Stooge-interest.
  • Not listed are "mom-and-pop" distributors, who were common in the mid-1980s. Their products were generally 2nd+ generation dubs, transferred from 16mm collector prints, with packaging comprised of plastic cases w/paper cover art. Channel 13 Video was one, offering several volumes of solo Shemp, Besser & DeRita films. Channel 13 evolved into a commercially distributed label, Madhouse Video; Madhouse is listed below, with a couple of its Stooge titles. (Movies Unlimited, and affiliates Hollywood's Attic and Nostalgia Family Video, still distribute VHS dupes of Channel 13 material.)
  • Online seller services (eBay, Yahoo auctions, Amazon Marketsellers/zShops, etc.) are sources for out-of-print products. CED, Beta, Laser, VHS and older DVD volumes regularly appear for sale on outlets of this type.
