Prime time Valentine's Day episode of the popular Saturday morning animated series. The Smurfs are a community of tiny blue-skinned creatures who live in the forest mushroom homes of Smurf Village, constantly avoiding capture by the wicked wizard Gargamel.
Cupid (Joe Besser) is unable to melt Gargamel's evil heart with his arrows, and sets out to find an equally nasty female match for the villain, the sorceress Chlorhydris. Meanwhile, Smurfette's search for a Prince Smurfing leads to her capture by Gargamel, and his plan to trade her for Chlorhydris' gold. The Smurfs head to the sorceress' castle to rescue Smurfette, and Cupid attempts to stop the witch's plan to eliminate love from the Earth with a magic spell.
