In a Movietone newsreel for Fox Studios, NYC's Mayor Jimmy Walker, Comptroller Charles Berry and Alderman Board Pres. Joseph McKee filmed a re-election campaign presentation which was shown in the city boroughs in what was promoted as an "intimate contact" to the voters. The city's Democrat borough presidents, Ted Healy and other celebrities appeared to support the Mayor and his ticket.
The Movietone film was screened publicly via portable campaign wagons, and it is unknown if it received theatrical screenings as well. The above release date reflects the day of a newspaper report on the film. The exact day of the screening(s) is unknown, but the story indicates that all the celebrity participants had already filmed their contributions. Also not known is the running time for this reel.
