Egotistical prize fighter Slug Mosconi loses the big fight, badly. To teach him a lesson about the ills of fooling around, his manager and trainer set him up on a fake blind date, complete with a fake angry husband. Thinking his antics have resulted in the death of the manager, Slug considers killing himself. When he learns he's been conned, he decides to get even by faking the suicide.
