STAR SPANGLED SALESMAN

Howard Morris canvases employees at a movie studio, to sign them up for U.S. Payroll Savings Bonds. The Stooges appear as themselves.

Trivia: the Stooges' bit was filmed on I DREAM OF JEANNIE's soundstage... specifically, their scene takes place on a partial set used as Maj. Nelson's (Larry Hagman) patio on that television series.

I've seen this short on DVD. It's only merrit is to see some more footage of the Three Stooges. Other than that, there's nothing to it, and it appears to be more of a PSA for payroll savings plan. Nice to see Howard Morris however.
My rating,
5 out of 10.

Yes. And "that guy" is the wonderful Howard Morris, from "Your Show of Shows," "Caesar's Hour," and "The Andy Griffith Show" (Ernest T. Bass). There will be a short pause as the under-40 crowd goes, "Huh?"

Does this film have a part with the stooges where a guy introduces the Payroll Savings Plan. If it is then I have that scene one a Three Stooges Festival tape.
