Platinum blonde stand-in for Jean Harlow at MGM. When Harlow died during production of SARATOGA (1937), Dees performed as her double in several key scenes, including a romantic scene with costar Clark Gable. Dees' voice was looped by yet a third actress to create the "Harlow effect."
