The first break-out star of "Our Gang," Cooper graduated to MGM stardom in features like THE CHAMP (1931) and TREASURE ISLAND (1934), and remained one of the studio's top juvenile actors throughout the 1930s. After serving with honors in World War II, he returned to begin a career in television as an actor & producer (HENNESEY) and director (M*A*S*H, THE ROCKFORD FILES). Younger film audiences recognize him as 'Perry White' in the SUPERMAN films (1978 - 1987).
